     We are seeking a scientist to support mass spectrometry-based targeted approaches for disease-specific carbohydrate biomarkers discovery/qualification to endorse clinical studies, diagnostics and toxicology. The primary responsibility will be development/optimization of the quantitative assay of saccharides/carbohydrates in complex biological samples such as blood, plasma, cerebrospinal fluid, urine and other fluids/tissues.

     Skills

     Employ in-depth technical knowledge in the field of analytical experiment design and execution often working independently to design and implement a series of experiments. A successful candidate must have strong organization skills and ability to write technical reports. The candidate will collaborate widely with biologists and internal colleagues to develop/execute sample preparation methods, design a mass spectrometry workflow, generate and summarize the data.

     The hands-on experience with various analytical/bioanalytical tools is essential. Experience in the area of MS-based quantitation assays (MRM, PRM) for saccharides/carbohydrates are desired.

     Strong communication and writing skills are essential.

     Qualifications

     PhD in the area of life science (chemistry, biochemistry, etc.) with 0-2 years

     All candidates must have authorization to work in the United States throughout the duration of the Fellowship. No visa sponsorship will be provided.
