     Recruitment Guide

     Professor Pu Chen is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering, University Research Chair, Chair Professor in nano-biomaterials, in the Departments of Chemical Engineering and Physics, University of Waterloo. Professor Chen’s group works on the research in biomedicine and energy storage, and their practical applications using self/co-assembly peptides, nano-drug carriers, smart energy materials and batteries. They have hosted more than 50 research projects in Canada, the United States, India, Singapore, and China, with funding over $20 million, and published over 250 SCI papers and 150 patents. The group is looking for talents to join its effort in biomedicine and energy materials.

     Research Directions

     (1) Biomedicine: Nano-biomaterials; Drug and gene delivery; Precise molecular medicine; Patient derived organoids (PDOs); Oncology; RNAi, antibody and Immuno-therapies.

     (2) Energy: Energy storage and conversion; Novel electrode materials; Rechargeable aqueous batteries.

     Requirements

     (1) Postdoctoral Fellows: published papers in SCI journals in the relevant fields as the first author, and strong independent research ability and professionalism.

     (2) Doctoral Candidates: Strong academic research ability and excellent English level.

     陈璞教授是加拿大工程院院士、大学研究主席、滑铁卢大学化学工程与物理系纳米生物材料双聘教授。陈教授的团队致力于生物医学和储能领域的研究，以及利用自/共组装肽、纳米药物载体、智能能源材料和电池的实际应用。他们在加拿大、美国、印度、新加坡和中国主持了50多个研究项目，资金超过2000万美元，发表了250多篇SCI论文和150项专利。该集团正在寻找人才加入其在生物医学和能源材料的领域。

     研究方向

     (1)生物医学：纳米生物材料；药物和基因传递；精确分子药物；类器官(PDO)；肿瘤学；RNAi、抗体和免疫疗法。

     (2)能源：储能与转换；新型电极材料；可充电水电池。

     要求

     (1)博士后研究员：以第一作者身份在相关领域的SCI期刊上发表论文，具有较强的独立研究能力和专业精神。

     (2)博士生：学术研究能力强，英语水平优秀。
