     State University of New York at Stony Brook (Stony Brook University) is a major public research university in Long Island, New York. The School of Medicine and University Hospital are adjacent to the main university campus. PI is a clinical physician and professor who is interested in improving the patient outcomes by basic and translational research.

     A highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate or Visiting Scholar (without a doctorate) with background in cancer research is sought to join a collegiate group to study the mechanisms and potential therapy of cancer metastasis following surgery and anesthesia.

     Motivated researchers with other interests and backgrounds are also welcome to discuss the possibility of collaboration. Salary is by university policy and commensurate with qualification.

     For Postdoctoral Associate the Qualifications:

     PhD or equivalent.

     Original experience in laboratory cancer research in last 3 years as documented by publication in reputable scientific journal or degree thesis.

     Preferred experience in animal models of cancer metastasis, pulmonary endothelial cell biology and vascular remodelling,
