据2017年7月10日睡眠科学和实践杂志发表的一篇研究报告,有明确生活目标的人通常会有高质量的睡眠。调查发现,在生活目标方面打分较高者,同低分者相比,睡眠呼吸暂停症要少63%,睡眠动腿症要少52%。结论是,想要平静度过夜晚的最佳方法是有一个坚实的生活目标。
尽管科学家们还搞不清人们为什么需要睡眠,但高质量的睡觉是被公认为健康之必须。到目前为止,治疗不眠的药物还十分有限,经常是副作用大于益处,非药物疗法应该是首选。这项研究提示了更简单易行的疗法,即找到生活目标。这一招可能会对两种人有用:一是需要今晚睡好,明天还有更重要的事要做的人;另一是需要做个好梦,对明天充满着希望者。 (李永明)
People who feel their lives have a purpose may experience better sleep quality, study shows
Newsweek (7/10, Bort) reports that research suggests “the best way to get through the night in peace may be to simply have a solid sense of purpose in...life.” Investigators found that “people who felt their lives had purpose experienced better sleep quality than those who didn’t.” The findings were published in Sleep Science and Practice.
TIME (7/10, MacMillan) reports that the researchers found that “overall, those who scored higher on the purpose-in-life questionnaire were 63% less likely to have sleep apnea and 52% less likely to have
restless leg syndrome than those who scored lower.” Additionally, they had “moderately better sleep-quality scores at the start of the study and showed increased improvement over a one-year period.”
