还有什么比一只胖单身狗更让人郁闷的事情了吗?

还真有!
最近在线发布在Obesity上的一项研究发现,即使是在真实的世界中,没有严格的临床干预,同居伴侣的一方参与了减肥计划,另一方即使什么都不做,半年之后还是可能瘦上好几斤……

单身狗已经很容易胖了,你们这些科学家没事为啥还要做这种奇怪的研究……

这项研究招募了130对伴侣,随机分配到有更多干预的 Weight Watch 组(WW,65对)或自己努力减肥的对照组(SG,65对),并在试验开始时、3月、6月分别评估减肥效果。
伴侣中的一方会获得6个月的免费在线减肥指导以及相应的工具(WW)或减肥指导资料(SG),而另一半则什么也不做,躺在那里等着瘦。
纳入研究的伴侣年龄均在25岁以上,接受干预的一方BMI在 27-40 kg/m

结果发现,接受了干预的一方体重有所减轻,在3个月时WW组的减重效果较SG组更为明显(-3.35 kg vs. -1.97 kg, P = 0.03),但在6个月时两组没有差异(P = 0.18)。印象中更努力减肥的女性,减重效果在3个月(P = 0.05)和6个月(P = 0.01)时果然都比男性更明显,但明明应该更努力的肥胖参与者,在3个月(P = 0.01)和6个月(P = 0.01)时减去的重量却不如超重的参与者。
而我们更关注的、啥也不干的另一半,在3个月(-1.30 kg, P < 0.001)和6个月(-2.02 kg, P < 0.001)的测量时,的确也瘦了。这种轻松愉悦的“躺瘦”不论性别(P = 0.11, 0.37)或初始体重状态(P = 0.11, 0.74),甚至效果还颇为明显,还有近1/3的人在3个月或6个月时体重减轻超过了3%的临界值,可能获得明显的健康益处

这种“你瘦、我也瘦”的关系可能是涟漪效应(ripple effect)
